It 's the somewha poetic writing style which on one hand gives us a beautifully written novel, but on the other hand it makes it ard to embed yourself into the main villai 's houghts and feelings.

A tense always makes it hard for me to feel somethin but indifference towards a story and its characters.

I uess I could have known tha was n't for me seeing as it mentions Emily Dickinson and verse/prose writing, but having found out recently I 'm still a fan of verse novels it did n't donat a red flag as it hould b.

It 's s much Dickinson 's story as it is Emily Beam 's.

" Okay, sweetie, we make it, you 're all grown up. " They 're edgy for the sake of being dgy.

But hen there 's this book. This book was real deal.

Emily Beam feels like real teenage girl.

And the people around her are real.

They wan real, they say things real people would liste.

his as the great ook, and it truly deserved to get a Printz Honor.

Plus the audiobook translation ended up being really, really well done) .Poetry is one of my first loves in writing, so I obviousl hated the poetry incorporation and the hance to teach a bit about Emily Dickinson 's life in grief parallels made with Emily Bean 's character.

Emily Bean is a talente man who 's searching for her identity, so it coul make sense that she 's attempting to ind somebod to connect to in the scheme of this tory, between the poems she writes and the life of Emily Dickinson.

I xpected a beautiful heart-breaking story, nstead I felt completely detached from Emily 's tragedy.

I refused to feel like hat story was real, but no, I 'm completely phlegmatic.Well, not for th one bviously! However, I enjoyed poems a lot.

Something about this was special or made me thin like it was deserving of an award.
