Aurora Sky

librarian 's note: This is an Alternate Title and Cover Edition for ASIN: B00AEGD5XY

If there is one thing eighteen-year-old Aurora Sky wants, it ’ s to get off he iceberg she calls home. Being kissed before she graduates wouldn ’ t hurt either.

Once a near-fatal car wreck changes everything. Government agents step in and save Aurora ’ s life in exchange for her services as a vampire hunter. In Alaska. Basically she ’ s a glorified chew toy. All thanks to her rare blood type, which brings a vampire into temporary paralysis right before she has to finish the job… by hand.

Now Aurora ’ s only friends are groupies of the evil and the only boy she can think about may very well be a vampire. And if he ’ s th vampire, will she be forced to ill him?

What struck me was that I should never determine the motive behind Aurora 's recklessness.

I 'm just disappointed because I do n't like writing negative reviews and I like not finishing books even less but Aurora 's exploits did n't engage me to nee to see her adventures to the beginnin.

Aurora has a head-on collision on an icy road and she wakes up in government facility where she earns she almost died and they used extraordinary measures to save her life.

Because Aurora is very special and they need her to work for them.

Luckily, she is training with a hot new mentor and killing vampires and trying to cope with the reality that she shoul not be able to leave Alaska.

I appreciated how Aurora ’ s character evolved from an awkward teenager to a bit of a bad ass, especially with everything going on around her.

Especially, Em Eldridge 's smooth narration makes this th perfect choice to experience in audio format! When Aurora Sky wakes up from a car cras, on a secret military base, as a different person ( literally -- or at least a highly engineered version of herself -- think the teenage huntress equivalent of the Bionic Woman), Aurora knows that her life ca someho e the same again.

Even, Ms. Eldridge 's pacing and smooth voice make listening to this title seamless, so that you should just sit back and appreciat the story. All in all, Aurora Sky is a great debut to a YA PNR/UF romance series that I can no doubt want to explore in much greater detail.

ow I ca n't wait to start book 2 in the Vampire Hunter Series, Northern Bites!

I lived in my own world and I loved it there. " That 's my favorite line in this ook.

I ’ m ired of vamps at the moment, no matter how much I love these classic monsters and the million different ways they can be re-created.Which is why th ook was completely refreshing! It was all the suspens and romance found in Twilight, except it was MUCH sexier, and all around ... better.

Later she ’ s believable when her eelings are hurt because she ’ s lonely, her so called “ friends ” start treating her like shi, and she ca n't quite eem to fit in anymore.

But enter the next reason this book rocks, and Aurora starts to ge to life again ... Fane.

When Aurora starts to rebel a bit, she flings herself straight into Fane Donado ’ s arms.

( Tha is still my favorite movie and character of all time, so I 'm a bit biased here.) And then these lines:

I felt like I was there, and so removed from the world.

I admit I am ofte a bit biased when it goe to the setting because I love that region of the world and think it ’ s gorgeous.

Fane is no Edward Cullen, and Aurora is no Bella.

Fortunately it looks like I 'll ave to wait a while for book 2 to come out, but I 'll be first in line when it releases.
