I mean, I 'm sure Kiersten 's writing has improved and the only eason I pu this one up is because I anted to see how her writing is/was.

I mean, the main protagonist, Evie, is pretty annoying, not much of a eroine, pretty weak, and then of cussing, she ays " bleep " because she 's no used to hearing it from her best friend who is a mermaid.

We still get introduced to the main emale and male character but then some other male character is introduced and well, that 's where the love triangles is sensed.

What I mean is, Evie falls for Lend and spends time with him while her ex, Reth ( a faerie) tries to win her heart ack, touch her, give her his and blah blah blah all that.

But, Evie does n't always ant him back.

he nly reason why I sense a love triangle was because I thought she ould come back to Reth, since she was alking to Lend and becoming his friend while she was thin about Reth. The plot was hard to fin at first.

It was ard to g into it and there were times where I ut nove down because it ha a really excitin and stupid part, I did n't hesitate to begi reading.

( Young adult genre+ supernatural creatures) x love triangle- originality= De ja bloody vuWhy even bother reading th book?

I hought the only people who named their guns were cops caught in a mid-life crisis.

It appears that most young adult authors do n't say how not to hol a love triangle in their books.

Lend is quite a ute character and my favorit of the pair; mostly because, wait for this, Reth repeatedly attempted some kind of supernatural rape thing- not good at all.

All his time I 've been alling it " A la Bella-esque. " Evie is most defiantly a Mary Sue. And I 've come to a ealization that I was thi love/hate relationship with Evie the entire essa.

I fel she was always entertaining and down right silly at times.

BUT at the same time she annoyed me with being so clums with her ove of ll things pink.

I did kee a few things I hated about he ook.

Similarly, I did get thi book eally funny.

( jacket copy reading is for losers) It has a pretty kickass heroine, mermaids, werewolves ( that may or MAY look like an Ewok in my picture), people made of water, people made of fire, vampires, rolls, nymphs, faeries, and something else you can think of.

Things go a little dicey when all sorts of paranormals are being abducte, the Center is invaded, and some faeries are being total douchebags.

( view spoiler) [ The moment Evie looks, sees a sign for the prom, and then Lend asks her ( hide spoiler) ] Fun, sure, but I was alway happy with the natural pacing of the relationship -- I was glad it was n't going into trite YA foreverlove territory, and it till did n't ... but it did bring a little cheesified.Kiersten White has a great kin of umor.

I 'm excited to see where it oes in the first book -- Supernaturally. ( which, ncidentally, has Evie in a purpl dress and with some red ( and probably completely irrelevant) flowers on the cover) ( view spoiler) [ I 'm a little bit nnoyed that Evie left Vivian alive/potentially alive.

I perhaps ould 've given a slightly higher star rating if there were n't been so much damn hype around this book.Alright.

She kicks serious butt and can take down a gaggle of vamps without a second thought.

- Evie 's fascination with lockers was cute and funny.- There were some really funny lines in ook.

But somewhere along the line, she just began to grind my gears and was n't cute anymore.

LK# (*&% ( T~~!!!!- The villain was n't scary.- The weird, hokey ending with the floating and the souls and the WTF.This book may appeal to any people and apparently has.

If you like cutesy books with happy little rainbow endings, by all means, help yourself.

When she 's not rounding up the wild paranormals, she 's watching Easten Heights ( her absolute fave drama), online shopping ( though most of the purchases get canceled by the government) and hanging out with her best friend ( a mermaid) .When a suspicious paranormal shows up in the aftermat of th crisis Evie will have to figure out A) What 's killing off the paranormals, B) How to stop her creepy ex-boyfriend ( a faerie) from stalking her and C) If the suspicious-slash-hot new guy has a boyfriend.

My heart skipped a beat- he iked me, too! " You 're unsur about what 's killing the paranormals are n't you? " Crap.

Gah. I thin Evie to be my best friend.

She wa he right tempo/timing for the humor- really made Evie come alive.YouTube| Blog| Instagram| Twitter| [email protected] miranda.reads Happy Reading!
