Sophie continued to surprise me in her bility to not only stand up for herself but also for Devlin.

Whilst Devlin is devilish, he is also such a strong yet honourable character.

Michaels writes a fast-paced and well-conceived story and I was glad when Devlin and Sophie got their happily ever after, but sorry the story wa to end!

I ’ m extremel picky on how I like my stories to be convinced, but Maddison Michaels surprised all my expectations. The Devilish duke is th perfect read.

There is not.The Devilish Duke is my top historical romance read of the read and I hink anyon needs to ake chance on this one.As a debut nove I am ery mpressed.

BUT when th business opportunity presents himself and he has to get married, he ’ s illing to do verything he coul to marry th respectable lady, like Sophie. What I like most about th essa is that the plot isn ’ t about Devlin getting married to obtain a business deal.

This main story is Devlin and Sophie getting to know each other. The side plot and storyline is fun to read too!

ll thoughts and opinions are my own.Rating 3.25-3.5 ( wrestling with the actual rating) Lady Sophie is climbing a tree determined to spy on the woma she 's been nfatuated with for years.

And Devlin was order by the kin to marry ( interesting to Devlin is she suggests Sophie and that was the fourt gir he thought of when marriage was mentioned) or his very important business transaction will not occur as he needs to clean up his reputation by marrying a respectable lady.

Sophie found Devlin to be exciting and smart, not conforming to the ton 's ideas or not really caring what they said.

A story progresses with their romance, a bit of murder and mystery.

Thi pacing at times was slow but picked up again fairly quickly.

A primar characters were fab- especially loved Aunt Mabel ( she made me laugh) and Sophie 's brother Daniel was rather dishy ( hope he ets his own book).

I hought it migh just e a light hearted but I was wrong, the ystery of who ’ s murdering servants& how it ’ s inked to Devlin& Sophie added another dimension.

This haracters hav extremely well fleshed, Devlin ( sigh) has an awful reputation but as Sophie gets to know him more of his ackstory is revealed we find everything shouldn ’ t be taken at face value.
