I sed to think it was because the best vacation our family ever had was a week spent at Caswell Beach, North Carolina, several day ago so I lready had a picture of this seaside town in my thinkin, but reading the nove I kne it was anothe uthor ’ s words taking me there, not some old memory.

Unfortunately, as you begi to read Olivia ’ s retellin, it ’ s toug not to forgive her.Olivia Limoges is one of the ealthiest omen in Oyster Bay, North Carolina, owning two restaurants, and the number of other businesses in town.

She has retreated into herself, and was fraid to grow closer to Police Chief Rawlings, so she shuts him out. However, Olivia still cares enough about her friends in the Bayside Book Writers ’ critique group to check on the house Harris Williams hopes to buy.

And, her research into that painting ’ s history, and Plumley ’ s own mysterious past, might ring her loser to Rawlings again.Ellery Adams brings us the best elements of mystery writing in The Last Word.

But, his memoi is not nly tal of the secrets of the past.

" he Last Word, " is n historical fiction murder mystery set in modern times.

Similarly, the arrogance and total destruction of families during war times that follow us through decades.Even though the crimes are solved, I was left with the tenderness of the ghost that will ontinue to haunt Oyster Bay and it 's inhabitants. This was a powerful ook and I hope many ersons will read it.

Ironically, he huge updates, or the slough of big-name classics ahead of this, flattened the narration and dialogue with a lacklustre effect of telling the reader wonderin, instead of showing them.

I council my dear Ellery to please reward sequential readers by skipping explanations we no longer need.

If she does not sleuth, leave her out once in a while. At last, the dialogue become natural and I was shocked by a denouement, far superior to the classic mysteries!

It 's not a page-turner and worth reading if you love cozy mysteries.

Olivia Limoges and the other members of the Bayside Book Writers are happy to welcome Nick into the fold.

Olivia and the other writers scramble to discover who would have refused to stop Nick 's new book enough to ill him.

he characters ave developed so much more, and Olivia ( who will hav real snooty piece of work sometimes) is actually starting to really grow on me.

Surely when the scenes lean too far in that direction .... I do end up channeling my inner Olivia.

I listened to he audio book version of th trilogy and one of the love scenes actually made me bust up laughing.

I like how snippets of the ovels the Bayside Writers are working on are included in thi story as the group critiques each other.
